For most such programs you do not need to actually purchase FSUIPC4. It is an essential ingredient in many add-on FS programs, and, in fact, may be installed on your system by any one or more of them already.

I have watched a couple of videos and it seems to match, more or less, the view from the cockpit seat.FSUIPC4: Flight Simulator Universal Inter-Process Communication (FSX version)įSUIPC4 is an add-in for Microsoft Flight Simulator X which provides an interface for other programs to read and write all sorts of pertinent data relating to the simulation, and in many ways even to control the actual process itself. I went for the near end as it makes the view slightly higher.Īnyway, it looks pretty much right. I have to say, I have a slight recollection (any recollection nowadays is a bonus) that the lining up ought to be with the far end of the runway not the near end but I cannot find the article from which I took the info. I found leaning forward to place my fingers on the near edge of the glareshield and trying to adjust the eyepoint didn't work well. I paused the sim and placed two pieces of balsa wood on the glareshield, the same thickness as my fingers, and lined the top up with the near end of the runway. I flew an approach, as it happens into Bristol, paused when on the glide slope when I could clearly see the PAPI and landing lights. I simplified them and just used arrow up arrow down etc. Like you I removed all the key commands from P3D, so yes I reinstated the keyboard eyepoint commands. I'm planning on buying the panels from Prosim Parts, I'm just waiting to hear from them come back to me with some answers, they seem a bit slow I have to say. The sim is going well, had a few ups and downs on the way. I have seen it somewhere before, but no idea where. Thanks for the attachment, looks very useful. Sorry for being so dense but this side of it baffles me. Wrt to the above, how did you adjust the vertical view point to line up with the end of the runway as this sounds like what I need to do.ĭid you use the keyboard commands? If so I will have to re-instate those as they went a long time ago or was it something else.

I think we started out at roughly the same time. Hows it going and how's your sim? Haven't seen any photos lately. I know this is not what you were asking for but I hope it helps.Įye point b737.pdf (49.29 KiB) Downloaded 304 times I got this tip from a forum a long time ago. If I could use VC I would.Īnyway, for the height position I flew an ILS approach, once on the glide slope I paused the sim and placed two fingers horizontally on the glare shield and lined the top of my fingers with the end of the runway. I did manage to set it up the VC so there was no crabbing effect though, but in 2D there seems to always some. I wanted to use VC but, I have an issue where the braking effect is so great that it is unusable for me, even though the zoom is set correctly. In 2D it's difficult and the more you correct it for the Captains view the worse it is for the FO. I did the positioning of the lateral (left right) from the cockpit seat trying to get it lined up as best as possible using a taxi line and slewing back and forth. I looked the outside view, slewed until the edge of the canopy was in line with the lateral position of the pilot and then went into the cockpit and moved the longitudinal position (forwards backwards) until it was in the right longitudinal position. So in Bristol this was a canopy over a door.

The way I resolved it was to slew the aircraft into a building where there was a feature that was in line with the pilot position. I not sure I'm going to be much help but, I did have the same sort of problems with positioning.
